-History-

Sunflare Lodgings has been in the Sunflare family for five generations. Cherry was 20 when she took over the lodge after her mother died from illness. When she was young Cherry helped her mother and grandmother and learnt how to look after the lodge.

After taking over the lodge, Cherry found that the lodge had been losing business due to newer and flashier hotels being built in the nearby city. To help the lodge stay alive, Cherry started up Furres For Hire, an odd-jobs kind of agency where any long-staying guests of the lodge could work for extra money, or in return for accommodation. The idea worked and the lodgings became a popular place for not only those looking for rooms, but also for those in need of the FFH’s services.

-Personality-

Cherry is the analytical type- she can tell what kind of person someone is just by asking them a few simple questions and observing their reactions. Cherry is not only kind though, she can be devious when she needs to be in order to get what she wants- wether that be more money for the lodge or some time off for a bubblebath.

In her free time, Cherry enjoys doing crosswords, although her puzzle solving skills extend far beyond that. Cherry is able to find a solution to almost any problem that she comes across.

From helping to run the lodge for so long, Cherry has learnt how to be a strong, outgoing leader and knows how to get the most out of any possibility given. She hates chaos, and will do her best to put things back in order. Many would consider her a perfectionist, but then they've never seen her office which is full of old junk she collected over the years- including a large storehouse of weapons (just in case the lodge ever comes under seige, she says). From this, you can tell she can be slightly paranoid at times.

• Cherry's markings come from her mother's side of the family.
• For some reason, Cherry always knows what's going on in her lodge.
• Cherry frequents the 'Lucky Traveller' tavern across the road whenever she takes a break. She loves the blueberry frappes they have there.
• Cherry's father is still alive, though in a strange situation- he turned himself into a penqui during an alchemy experiment.

-A little insight into Cherry from the creator-

Cherry was originally an Ixi (from Neopets) that I had created while I was attempting to make a tutorial on giving your pet a unique look. She was created around the same time as Rapture, though Cherry_Sunflare the Ixi was created on Neopets later on.

I've always loved Cherry's design. The bizzare mix of colours and markings just interested me. At one point, I was going to put her into the Giving & Co comic, but with the design restrictions, I had to suffice with Rapture instead (Read Rapture's profile for more on that).

Eventually though, Cherry Sunflare became more of an important figure when I decided to put her into the FFH comic. And I decided to give her ties with Giving, making her his daughter. Somehow it seemed right...

I've had a lot of people comment on Cherry's name. I'm both very glad and very proud that people like the name 'Cherry Sunflare'. Her name came from two sources- one being Cherry's markings, and two being my cousin Cherry in real life. Some of Cherry's personality is from her- the kindness and the analytical part. Thus being, Cherry Sunflare is one of my favourite names that I've ever created.
