Welcome to the home of Melbourne in December fur meet - MiDfur - the annual gathering of furries from around Australia (and occasionally from overseas).
MiDfur Eight will be held on:
Friday 15th, Saturday 16th and Sunday the 17th of December 2006!
This year's theme is... plushies!
To every event you attend, bring a plushie along. It can be as small or as big as you like. Even if you have to borrow, bring along a furry friend!
There will be awards at the binding party for different categories of plushie.
Note: Ears and tails are welcome at all venues this year.

Friday, December 15th - Cafe Retro
7pm at 413 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy - Meeting and dinner. Melways ref: Map 2C B5. Take Tram 11.
Saturday, December 16th - City Walkabout
9am at Federation Square - Breakfast - Meet and visit nearby cafés for breakfast.
Note: All Federation Square meeting points will be here.
11am at Federation Square - Walkabout of Melbourne city including comic shops, garden squares and other things of interest.
3pm at Federation Square - Return at approx. 3pm to head off to the Jam Factory in South Yarra.
~3:30pm at Jam Factory - Meeting at around 3:30pm at the Jam Factory, Chapel Street, South Yarra. Melways ref: Map 2L J7.
Nearest train station is South Yarra (Take any of the Frankston, Cranbourne or Pakenham trains, or Trams 48 / 109 then 78 / 79).At the Jam Factory: Going to see either Open Season or Charlotte's Web at the Village cinemas there.
Afterwards: Going to the Soda Rock café for dinner.
Sunday, December 17th - South Fur Lands Binding Party
10am at Federation Square - Walking around / chilling out in Queen Victoria Gardens. Time to talk furry and relax.
12pm at Federation Square - Meeting at 12pm for carpooling to the binding party. Try to arrange a few furs with cars so interstate guests can get a lift to the binding party.
From 1pm at xxx Cornell Street, Camberwell - Binding party. Melways ref: Map 60 G3
Parking details in Camberwell: Please park in Through Road, as Cornell Street has many on-street spots that are used by residents.
Station details: Get off at Riversdale Station on the Alamein line and catch Tram 70 towards Wattle Park. Get off at Stop 54, Through Road (there's a small amount of shops there, after you pass Highfield Park on the right).
Binding party cost: A $5 cover charge at the door covers drinks, barbeque dinner, munchies etc.
Binding party agenda: Assemble the South Fur Lands magazine, watch a DVD and have a barbecque!
So keep those dates in mind, and join us on Friday evening for the traditional furry feast (see thumbnails below for the 2005 event), then more furry fun and frivolity the rest of the weekend.
Discussion of possible events will be held on the OzFurry mailing list. Joining the list is open to all interested people, not just Australians. Come on, fly over for the heck of it. We'd love to see you there!
T-shirt designs for 2006
Here are the two designs that will be available for pre-order for the MiDfur meet. Contact Scrapper for ordering info.
Both designs will be printed on white T-shirts. Design 1 will be screen printed, design 2 will be a colour transfer. Thanks to Mye for the image used in design 2!
