Music can be such funny stuff. You never realise exactly how much of it you
like until you sit down & try to list it all. This is the short list -
music that's been a big part of my life (such as it is).
- The
KLF
- Music Gods. The Last Train to Trancentral (in all of it's incarnations
and remixes) is simply the best piece of music committed to tape ever. Not
much else I can say here - they made everything from "english rap" to acid
house to ambient techno - & I like it all (I've got hours of it!)
- The Chemical Brothers
- Most especially "Setting Sun" (Instrumental or otherwise) Ooooo! - They've
a yummy new album too - Surrender to "Hey Boy, Hey Girl"!
- The Orb
- Ambient techno - great stuff - fave track here currently is "Toxygene"
(from Orblivion) with "Little fluffy clouds" running a close second.
- Prodigy
- Great for relaxing, great for drawing. No real favourite, "Climbatize",
"Voodoo People", & the live version of "Their Law"
are the contenders.
- U2
- Been a great band since Achtung Baby. Right now "Discotheque"
& "MOFO" are my two favourites, though the "Perfecto"
& "A 440 vs U2 Instrumental" remixes of "even better
than the REAL THING" rock!
- Headless Chickens
- For a bunch of New Zealanders these guys rock - "Railway Surfing"
is such a great song & don't forget "Cruise Control"!
