Texas Brownies

2 cups flour

2 cups sugar

1 cup margarine (or butter)

1 cup strong brewed coffee (or 1 cup water and tonnes of instant coffee)

¼ cup dark unsweetened cacao (Note: I usually triple or quadruple the coffee and cacao.)

½ cup milk

2 eggs

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon vanilla

lemon juice to taste

Combine sugar and flour in large bowl. Set aside.

Melt the margarine with the cacao and coffee in a saucepan. When melted, pour over four/sugar and mix thoroughly.

Add milk, eggs, vanilla and baking soda. Mix thoroughly.

Add lemon juice to taste. Decide it needs more cacao. Add cacao and lemon juice and cacao, and ... well, you get the picture. :)

Pour mix into well greased pan and bake at 400° F for 20 minutes (until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean).
