'Till Death Do Us Part
by John R. Plunkett

I knew, even as I put the finishing touches on The Ties that Bind, that it was only half the saga. From the very beginning Antonia was with me, whispering in the back of my mind. Through the course of several correspondences hir story became clearer and clearer; finally I could no longer resist its demand to be told, and here it is. We begin several months after Littlepaw disappeared into the wilds of Oregon Territory; even as hir mate has left hir and descended into darkness, Antonia catches a glimpse of hope....

Continuity warning: this story is not strictly speaking intended as a stand-alone work. Readers who are not familiar with Chakats might wish to read An Introduction to Chakats on Bernard's page, which will provide some background about the species and its history.
